The completion of applications ensures Directors and staff have all available information necessary to make reasonable choices and decisions. Approval is at the sole discretion of the Board, and staff who manage particular programs.”

Programs by youth, for youth, and decisionned by youth
The Gwaii Trust Society has initiated a program for the youth on Haida Gwaii. The program will provide funding to organizations on Haida Gwaii who are undertaking unique educational programs and/or services. The priorities of the Youth program are given to those applicants which link into Youth, youth gathering places, youth activities (recreation, sports, education)Economic Development and that maximize the number of individuals impacted by the project.
This program is available once this year. All applications should be submitted at least 2 months prior to program start date. Please submit all supporting documentation on the same day, missing information will be considered an incomplete application. Forward all letters of support, proof of income and expense cost quotes to forms@gwaiitrust.com.
Approved for this fiscal year (2011/2012) is $150,000.00. Program intake date: February 24th 2012, Budget $150,000.00. Please print off the program guidelines and program description.

Applicants are encouraged to speak to their local area Youth Director; Directors names are published on the Gwaii Trust website. Early applications are encouraged to ensure content is complete. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
All applications and associated support documentation submitted become the property of the Gwaii Trust, who may publish the said applications on their website: www.gwaiitrut.com or may otherwise utilize their content as the Gwaii Trust sees fit.
