Program Description |
| The Gwaii Trust Society Board of Directors has created the Healthy Humans Program to fund projects that focus on the quality of life of Haida Gwaii residents. While the program contemplates supporting spiritual healing projects, it is also broad enough to encompass pilot projects dealing with physical, medical and holistic health issues. |

| The Gwaii Trust Board of Directors have allocated $270,000.00 to this program in the initial 2008/2009 fiscal year. The Board desires that this program take a broad perspective on health issues, and be open to a variety of applications from different groups, organizations and societies. Once again, the key tests for project approval at the Board level will be merit and need. | |
| The preliminary program criteria are: | |
| ● | The maximum funding available per project is 75% of the total project costs up to a ceiling of $50,000.00. |
| ● | All project costs must be supported by cost quotations. |
| ● | Provide confirmation of equity or other financing for 25% of the total project costs. |
| ● | Facilitator costs are limited to $500.00/day. |

There are three(3) application periods for this fiscal year
(2008-2009), and the application dates are: October 15th, 2008. March 27, 2009 and June 26, 2009.
